Good food, cool atmosphere, but very limited menu. The bar is nice and there were lots of hot moms(no pics) walking around when I went for lunch last week.

We went for lunch Friday. It was packed. Really nice atmosphere. Good food - my wife got a veggie sandwich with a cup of tomato soup that was excellent. I got a roasted veggie plate with piri piri sauce that was good.
We want to try it for dinner. They apparently do several shareable boards at night with meat, vegetables, cheese, etc. Bar was pretty nice. They had some interesting beers on draft.
And yeah, the place was full of attractive women 30 and up.

Where is this in relation to Kalurah Street Grill? I was looking at the website the other day and couldnt figure which building under the overpass this is located.

It is to the left of Kalurah Street Grill, if you are facing the restaurant. There's a hair salon in between the two restaurants. They've fixed up that area under the overpass. Back in the day when I went to Chelsea's a lot, there was kind of a no-man's land of stuff down there -- like they were working on cars and boats and shite.

Very laid back

Interesting. I think the menu is pretty varied. I think everything has been excellent - nothing even somewhat lackluster. Just all awesome. Atmosphere is awesome too. Easy spot just to go drink if you want.

Will be interesting to see how K Street fares since I already know they have trouble getting that placed filled.

I've been 3 times and have had:

Roasted Tomato Soup (not my photo) - Good, not too creamy. More like a marinara.

>

Caesar-ish Salad - I'm a sucker for caesar salads, and this one has corn and hearts of palm in it. Plus it was dressed perfectly. Not drowning in dressing, but no plain leaves either.

Roasted red pepper/provolone/lemon saffron ailoi sandwich (chicken added) - Awesome, but I'd have added steak. This was someone else's I tried.

Little Italy Board (not my photo) - My friend's favorite thing on the board was the polenta. Mine was hands down the meatballs in marinara. Best meatballs I've had. But everything on the board is great.

Two of the spread/dips that they serve with bread: Bacon jam with melted brie (holy hell, so rich and awesome) + Peppadew jam with havarti (also great, a tad spicy but interesting)

Shakshuka with naan - This was more like a shakshuka-esq spread (it had chickpeas and was like a hummus rather than the shakshuka breakfast recipe you often see) but it was great. This came in a much larger bowl so it was a ton of food.

Crostini Grazing Board - Damn, I don't even remember what was on this thing. I assume it was an assortment of the spreads/dips they offer individually, plus some meats and cheeses. I had been drinking on that visit.

I see myself getting the dips/spreads every time, with a side of meatballs. That's my type of food anyway and they were all so good.

Here are some pics of the menu during soft opening, but I notice they're a tad different from last week when I went:

10/10 would devour again.

Awesome!! I'm going back next week, but for lunch.

I highly encourage the bacon jam dip for anyone. Easily the best.

I guess this won't be a hidden gem for long. Looks like an amazing date night place. Do you need reservations or is there no problem getting a table?

I don’t think you can make reservations but yes you will likely have a hard time getting a table.. especially if cold weather has the patio closed. There are only a small number of tables inside.

I’ve sat at the bar all 3 visits, so I’ve been able to snag a spot every time. But go on an earlier in the week night and you should be fine.

Note the first part you walk into is a market (you can sit in there too) and the second part is the bar, dining area, and patio.

we got there at 6 and waited an hour at the bar. i think they only take reservations for large parties. we could have been seated immediately outside but it was pretty chilly

by the time we left there was a line out the door

Went for lunch a couple of times. Only thing that I wouldn’t recommend is the caprese sandwich. Very very small for the price. Everything else has been quite good. Also they have Reve on draft which automatically placed the joint at the top of my rotation of bars near me
