Popped up on YouTube when watching TV. I have a Primo Oval XL - not necessarily interested in ever switching, but this advertisement peaked my interest.

Anyone have one? Thoughts?

They look really nice. I cooked on a home made aluminum grill a couple times. Works okay, heat retintion was somewhat lacking.

Isn't the Acorn cast aluminum. Probably not as good as ceramic but still serviceable.

This looks really good, solid aluminum and well thought out design with heavy grates, retractable and an area for rotisserie.

Costs more than a high end primo but this is something that could last forever.

No, insulated stainless steel.

I think they're (Shopper's Choice) asking over $1700.00, but there generally is a lot of wiggle room in retail price vs. selling price after working with them for a while.

I checked these out at Busch fireplace in laffy.. they're VERY nice and extremely well built. If anything ever happened to my egg, I'd be tempted to get a blaze.

Steel but NOT stainless steel. 22 gauge steel to be exact.

Akorns are badass for the money. Mine is 3.5 years old and still going strong.

Yep, you are correct, sorry. Great bang for the buck though.

I'm looking at buying a kamado soon for my outdoor area in my new house, and I'm really intrigued by the blaze just for the durability aspect. I also like the potential to rotisserie a chicken or roast. The look of the grill takes some getting used to, but I'm liking it more and more. Also like the overlap seal.

So these can be had at lower price than what shows up in google search?

What is the cooking radius of these vs. Egg or Primo Oval XL?

Don't feel like googling.

I think it was an inch or two bigger than the L BGE.

One of my favorite things is that there's no damn gasket to worry about. It's a tongue and groove design that seals tightly.

I know for a fact that my Blaze gas grill and nearly every other item that I bought from Shopper's Choice can be negotiated, heavily.

I know it's a 20in cooking grate. My Weber is 22in. Not sure of the large BGE or Primo XL. I know for sure it is smaller than the oval XL.

How would this compare to an Egg or Oval XL?

What "edge" does it have over these two popular brands?

Wouldn't the metal expand when hot causing it to get stuck if it is a tight seal?

The edge they claim is indestructibility, their cooking grates which are 1/4" hex 304 stainless, removable ash pan, optional rotisserie.

Apparently not. There are several videos of them going low and slow, as well as searing steaks. Seems to open without a problem.
