was a big fan of their food truck with a limited menu....finally visited the brick and mortar location on Pinhook and the menu is expanded with the same quality.

The brisket was excellent, the turkey was ok. The pork nachos and fries were legit. If you are wanting BBQ in Lafayette, I'd recommend it!

Never heard of it? Guess I'll give it a try.

It's good. I wasn't a fan of their sauces but the brisket was good enough without them.

It's off of Pinhook, where the Urbano's used to be.

ETA: it's only open 10:30am-2:30pm

Blanchard’s and Eastgate are both putting out quality Texas style BBQ. I’m a fan of both.

THIS

I do NOT like their sauces

They try to make them too fancy

Im tempted to just bring some Sweet Baby Ray's next time

Yep. Very good brisket. Good food and people in general.

I'll need to try it. It's close to my office. I went out for BBQ for lunch today and I didn't think about
Blanchard's. I ended up at Dickie's and got a nice plate of brisket. Sides and sauces were good too.

funny Cosmo

I've struggled to find good bbq in the Lafayette area, but Blanchard's does a great job with their meat. I somewhat agree on the sauce...one real solid bbq sauce would be my preference but I like the creole mustard bbq sauce.

I'm not sure if they are doing the brisket and pork tacos at the restaurant but that was their signature item from the food truck. Very generous portions as well.

Eastgate
I met the owner/pitmaster of East Gate once and had a lengthy conversation. He seem's legit, but I haven't been to his place yet. Online reviews seem to range quite a bit from awesome to portions being too small, but I take every online review with a grain of salt. I haven't tried his place yet mostly because when in that area, I would opt for the short lived Jamaican restaurant. Now that it's closed, I'll have a chance to try East Gate.

Dwight's Sunday BBQ offering needs mention here.

As far as the original subject, I haven't tried Blanchard's yet.
