I, unlike yourself, know nothing about sucking. I cannot help it that my esteemed palate does not have the same low standards as to what you think tastes good. Actually i'm not sorry at all.

You're either trolling, intentionally contrarian, or stupid.

Trolling? contrarian? Stupid?

All of this because I don't hold Billy's Scott location food to what the popular opinion of it is? Believe me, I've had Billy's more than once. Its really not that great. I don't want a gimmick to try to make the boudin taste better. Just like I don't want a piece of fruit in a beer to try to make it taste better. Billy's cracklins were SO greasy and lack of flavor that I really could only choke down three of them, as much as I wanted to eat more, I just couldn't.

Nu nu's, Chops, Best Stop, Johnson's, (sometimes Don's), Charlie T's and Bayou Boudin (they don't make it anymore) ALL have/had better flavor than Billy's. Sorry, i'm not your typical bandwagon jumper. Enjoy your ride on the wagon.

I did give Billy's original a thumbs up in case you missed that. The scott location? forget about it...

This. And I'm only basing it on the Poche's comment. I'll let the others handle the Billy's hate

Side-stepping the bullshite in this thread....yeah, the line can truly suck at times. Once, I walked in the door and the line was all the way around the inside of the building to the door. I was number 45 in line. If you figure 1 minute per transaction you have a 45 minute wait........and that's pretty much what I got that day, but it was longer because of the drive-thru business.

The next time I encountered a line like that, I turned around and went to Don's. Was in and out of there in no time, but the boudin quality was a disappointment, with lots of chewy grissle (never had it like this from Don's before, was surprised). Next time, if Billy's line is too long, I'll go to Best Stop. Not ruling out Don's permanently, but one must adapt when in a pinch.

I have to say though that I have tried the original Billys and was quite pleasurably surprised.

You would think that refined palate could tell it's the exact same boudin as the one in scott

Best Stop has great cracklin, and their boudin balls are good. However, their boudin is far below that of Billy's, Early's and even Don's.

Early's is pretty damn good if you don't care to wait in line at Billy's.

Billy's smoked boudin is the second to best out there behind T-Jim's blood boudin
