BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A popular south Louisiana boudin and cajun meat market is making it easy for Louisianians to place an order, no matter what part of the country they find themselves in.

Billy’s Boudin and Cracklins announced on Monday, Dec. 11 it has launched a brand new e-commerce website that’s built for shipping orders nationwide.

The restaurant says over the past few months, it has been working alongside another local business, Comit Developers, to launch the website to make ordering and shipping products easier than ever before.

The food spot has 4 locations across south Louisiana:

Scott, La.
Lafayette, La.
Krotz Springs, La.
Opelousas, La.

“Everyone here is thrilled about this new website,” said Brennan Higginbotham, Chief Operations Officer of Billy’s Boudin and Cracklins.

“Not only will it make shipping our products to Billy’s fans near and far much easier, we also hope it will introduce our special brand of Cajun cooking to food lovers across the country who otherwise might have never had the chance.”

You can visit billysboudin.com for online orders, locations, recipes, and more.

Looks like the process is now streamlined. Before, you had to order online and complete the order with a person over the phone to get a proper shipping quote. Maybe we'll see it at Rouses soon.

Nunu's
T-Boys
Paul's
Charlie T's

Best Stop and Kartchner's are decent but they were better before they started mass producing just like Billy's.

I have to give props to billys. Despite the massive growth of business the boudin balls are just as good as they have always been. Not many places grow as much as they have and dont take a hit on quality.

Now the prices are another story haha.

I just went to order something and the shipping is ridiculously overpriced. They can kiss my arse if they they think I'm going pay $51 on 10 lbs of food.

I agree that the shipping costs make it cost prohibitive for the most part. A 10# box to my area code is $71 for shipping. That’s just absurd. I can just wait for my mom to come visit and bring a cooler of stuff.

Had some last night. Defrosted and smoked it but it was a slight step down from Billy's, Kartchner's and Nunu's. Lacked some seasoning and seemed a bit too mushy. Maybe that's because it was frozen, but I've had frozen from the others I mentioned and they were of better texture.

Where are yall ordering from that ships cheaper? You are buying a styrofoam ice chest, ice packs or dry ice and a box then paying for 2 day shipping from UPS or FedEx.

Living in Denver, I have been running this game for years. You have to get a few people to go in with you to bring the shipping down per item.

I did a Best Stop order in November that worked out to about $2 per item extra for shipping.

If you order from Wayne Jacobs in LaPlace and only get smoked meats they will toss it in a box and ship USPS priority which is cheap but you aint getting boudin like that.
