I have eaten at many of the best sushi places according to friends and others opinions, and I am amazed at how many different people think place A sucks versus Place B and vice versa.

I eat sushi at least once a week. I have been to rock n sake twice thus far. I have to admit it's been a year or so since I have been to sushi yama but as far as my list goes....this includes products and price evaluation...
1) wahada
2) ichiban
3) koto
4) sushi Yama
5) rock n sake
6) Tsnami
7) Waka house
8) drunken fish
9) koi
10) hello sushi

At Tokyo Cafe, they have an off-the-menu roll. It's called a Cowboy Roll and it's topped with crunchy bits with Filet Mignon on top of it. Definately worth the $15.

Best sushi in Baton Rouge = Thai Kitchen.
Ichiban and Sushi Yama are my two other favorite spots though. Have only been to Rock N Sake once and it was good. Real fresh. But the menu was fairly limited. Big drawback for me.

quote:I'ma Wahada fan too, based upon the price and quality analysis. I don't require great atmosphere to enjoy a meal.

Why the heck would you want beef on top of your sushi...
Why not just throw a slice of bacon on there for good measure..

Extra crispy bacon on top of my spicy tuna roll please! Now we are making progress! Not just a deep fried roll but one with bacon on it!

Partial to Hello Sushi myself-quick, cheap and good service and the place is usually impeccably clean.

Hello sushi... Has fallen off the cliff... Used to be average... Now it is a laat option.

Geisha in Denham.
BR people, if you haven't been, you should make the drive and try it. That whole shopping center has good places with a good variety. Sushi, Mexican, Greek, BBQ, Seafood..................and HOOTERS!!

I actually like J.C. Komados on Sherwood. Tokyo Cafe is the all-around value. Both of these are clean, well run joints.
Waka House is interesting and the owner is eccentric. For some reason he thinks I'm a real estate developer and keeps asking me about commercial property. I just "roll" with it.

I'm surprised nobody has said Kona Grill. I have eaten sushi almost everywhere in the br area and their specialty rolls are off the chain.

I think there's a reason why Kona hasn't been mentioned...entrees and sushi

All you fricks and your stupid rolls. Eat Kona's sashimi and see how shitty their fish really is. In fact, at all sushi places, I recommend that you sit at the sushi bar and demand that they give you a taste of their fish before they mask it in rice, avocado, mayo, roe, tabasco, and, holy shite, tenderloin. If they refuse, leave.
