I'm curious to what others have tried. Anytime I see someone is going to Chicago I recommend they go to rosebud steakhouse. It's the best I've had. Here's my top 5

1. Chicago cut ribeye- Rosebud Steakhouse, Chicago
2. Bone in Ribeye- Bones Steakhouse, Atlanta
3. Bone in Ribeye- "cut", Las Vegas
4. Porterhouse- Berns Steakhouse, Tampa
5. Bone in Ribeye- Carnevore, Milwaukee

I'm partial to a bone in ribeye. It's pretty much what I judge a good steakhouse with

Had a bone in ribeye month or two ago when I was in san antonio.
It was a letdown for me.. I know many here love them.

I'm a filet guy, If Im buying for the house or out that's what we are getting.
I like a tender cut of medium rare beef.. not a huge fan of ribeyes or ny strips.

When I eat well in other cities, it's usually not steak places because I find I can get that here.

The one I grilled last night. A 1.25 inch Calandro's chairman reserve ribeye. Seasoned with Montreal steak seasoning and grilled med rare. It was awesome

Went to a Viking cooking school class with the better half last year. They provided us 40 some odd day dry aged prime bone in Ribeye's to cook. Despite the 3 bottles of wine I managed to chef ours "to perfection". It stands out in my mind as the best I've ever had. But I'm pretty forgetful.

Dry aged ribeye from Smith and Wollensky's in New York City, cooked medium rare.

I have only been to a few top notch steak houses, but the one I had at S&W was by far the best I've eaten so far.

Steak au poivre, Richards German Restaurant, Brunswick ME. Will never be beaten......

Any BNAS navy guys on here to second that?

Dryest and most disappointing one was a Filet at the Hereford House in KC, MO

Full Piedmontese ribeye cooked on a POS charcoal grill on a bachelor party fishing trip.

Supposedly it had to be special ordered 3 months in advance and shipped from Italy. Guy who bought it works for Sysco.

It was unbelievable.

´Ternera Gallega´ from a restaurant in a tiny village in León, Spain. Restaurant is called El Capricho.

A ´chuletón´ (probably Castillian) in a small village in the province of Segovia, Spain.

Kobe steak in Tokyo.

Cebu sliced thin and seared on iron at the table, in the aforementioned Segovian ´pueblo´
( different restaurant, however ).
