I also think a lot of the new people that live in Ascension still work and spend their entertainment budget in BR
Yup.
My parents have lived off Old Perkins for over 30 years. Growing up, Airline in Prairieville was ALL woods. Hell, the neighborhood across from my parents used to be a Girl Scouts camp before it became a neighborhood. In high school, everyone assumed I lived in the middle of the woods. 7 years later when my little brother was in high school, all of his high school friends lived nearby

I'm one of the Katrina transplants. Lived in AP since 2006. When we first moved there Sno's was really good. And Burger Delight was still there.

Katrina was my senior year of high school. It took me 3 hrs to get from my parents house on Old Perkins to get to Highland (I was supposed to have practice); turned around and went home.

There's always Outback
My teenage son loves steak but I am not blowing $200 to take him out to eat some.
Recently went to Outback and got two 9 oz. filets, wedge salad, baked potatoes, two beers for me and it was $75.00 all in.
The steak was good and well worth the price.

Outback was decent until about five years ago. It’s garbage now

I agree. Of all the budget type steak places I think Longhorn is the best. Lone star and Saltgrass are somewhat good.

Haha. I just have family that were early in on developing Ascension so I have some insight into it. I live in southern California
Have family in Santa Rosa and San Diego, love visiting but for raising a family and a myriad of other reasons I’ll stay here in Franklin TN.
I absolutely call it living

2nd that. I love Longhorn’s steaks, baked potatoes, salads, everything!
For that price range, of course.
I think it’s sickening how you used to get a good steak at places like Sno’s for around 20 bucks until just a few years ago. Now they charge around $28-$35 or more for basically the same thing, with a fancy name on it. For just a few dollars more than some of these prices, you can get a Ruth’s Chris steak for far better quality.

Steak is the one and only item that I am ok with just cooking my own and home and enjoying other things at restaurants. I can buy a good prime piece of meat and cook it perfectly on the grill for a fraction of the restaurant price.
