What ya got?
Being from ville Platte, I still have not found a sausage that's close to comparable. I'm cooking a Jambalaya for 14 people tomorrow and need some good stuff.

Try best stop. Their mix smoked sausage is seasoned pretty well. They also have a smoked jalapeño chicken sausage there thats good. If I don't get sausage from there I go to Kellys in Opelousas

Johnson's definitely has the best I've found in Lafayette.

You never will! Set the bar a little lower & start from there, you'll find something.

Not yet. I was gonna cook some tonight but now I'm cooking for12 people so I went with Jambalaya instead.
Oh and next time I'm in VP, I'm stocking up on sausage. I just paid $6.75/lb at Johnson's.
I almost shite when she gave me the total.

you ever tried Guillory's in Pine Prarie? They make all our deer sausage and do a pretty good job.

Aw yeah I like it. We used to hunt across the street from there and would go often. The boudin was awesome too.
