One of my childhood memories is going to the old check in check out in Kenner and their roast beef poboy.
Ive since moved to mobile and have chased that memory ever since.
I m not into crockpot pulled roast beef. Needs to be shaved and in aujus.
Any place around that serves that?

Bear’s has this style and is my go to for RB poboys. I don’t like thick gravy or pot roast poboys either. Bear’s meat and gravy are thin style.

Right before covid. I tried to find the best RB poboy. I agree 3-4 a week. Driving around.
I find Bears to be the best overall. World Deli and Radostas isn't bad. World deli would be better if they weren't stingy with meat.
Fradys in Nola is good too. I don't like the crock pot style much either but I truly hate the presliced you get with cheap rb poboys .

Bears has been said many times. You'll be good there.

This is how my mom made them when I was growing up. Not a thick gravy fan either.

Actually Radosta's in under new ownership. Hopefully they improve even though some to the same people are still working there.

I grew up on Come Back Inn, so it’s what I think of when I think of a good roast beef. I kinda of believe that is what determines your preference though, my wife hates it, but she grew up with that dark brown gravy drowning the roast beef. In her mind that’s how it’s supposed to be.

This, R&O and Crabby Jack’s on Jefferson were go to poboy places when I was growing up. Currently, Crabby Jack’s is a no go, I heard some chick from Iowa owns it now.

Bears is close to the house and used to be our go to, but it’s unfortunately been more miss than hit over the last couple years in my opinion.
