Mosca's in Boutte. Legendaty mafia hangout that has been in business for more than seventy years.

A truly unique place with one of a kind food and atmosphere. You need to go with a regular and eat at a big table family style.

Mosca's is like 5 miles from the Huey. Far from the middle of nowhere glass.

I nominate Chester's Cypress Inn in Gibson.

Badass frogs legs.

All I know is that driving back to the city across the old Huey after eating and drinking at Mosca's was an adventure. Especially when a train was beside you. BTW, I haven't crossed the HPL since the work was done. What's it like?

I know it gets a lot of mixed reviews on here, but I still think Middendorf's does what they do, better than anyone else, and by a long shot. I love the place.

I have been to Middendorfs once (admittedly a very long time ago) and the food was appallingly bad. Tasted like it was just taken out and defrosted.

As bad as Monjunis (another place I had a horrendous experience)

if it is an old house, then it has been added on to. It's a pretty good sized catfish house.
