Yeah, if I was going for atmosphere, those would be the two. I haven't been to Good People since they expanded. But it was always fun before, especially when the Barons were playing. Ghost Train is my personal fave for local beers.

I think it's the most customer-friendly brewery in town. Large bar with plenty of bartenders so you're rarely waiting long for a beer. Large, open indoor seating area(though I think it's closed right now because of Covid), large outdoor covered seating area, decent sized outdoor area uncovered, easily accessible bathrooms. It's kind of geographically off on its own from the other breweries, but I always wonder why I don't go there more often when I do go. The only real negative I can think of about it is parking isn't very plentiful around there.

Birmingham sure has come a long way food wise since I lived there in 2006. Or maybe I was just too young/poor to afford to try more places.

Yea, Bham is a completely different city than it was in 2006. It is almost unrecognizable.
