Best Produce in BR

I went to Southside Produce for the longest time and they still have decent stuff, but their quality has gone down significantly. I used to buy their fresh frozen fruit for smoothies, but it’s garbage now. All frozen together and either over-ripe or under-ripe. Went a couple weeks ago to get satsumas and they were not good either. Fresh produce is also worse than used to be.
Any recommendations on other places?

The one by my house has terrible produce.

Louisiana satsumas aren't quite ready yet. The ones they had there were probably from Alabama. If you're wanting frozen fruit, go to Trader Joe's or Costco.

Farmers Market Thursdays at Pennington or Saturday downtown is probably the best, though not always convenient.
The vegetables from Southside are good, but the fruit always seems under or overtime.

I’ll have to give it a try. Pretty close to my house as well. How does it compare cost-wise to a normal grocery store? Or is it closer to a Whole Foods?

Definitely closer to Whole Foods for cost.
I second this. Whole Foods has even gone down in quality significantly. We find mold on their fresh berries more often than not, and we’re always getting recall alerts for the frozen produce items.

Walmart in NO metro has the best produce IMO so maybe there too.

Ideal Market or La Morenita. You’re welcome.

Idk, we’ve been eating satsumas off the gf’s Dad’s tree for a few weeks.
