Going to be there Friday December 10th for one night. I wanted some rec’s on best dinner spots. Any info is appreciated.

Hall’s Chophouse, The Anchorage, Jianna, Larkins
ETA: completely forgot about Trappe Door. It has an incredible Belgian beer list and the food is very good. It’s in the basement of an old building though so it gets pretty loud in there. Have not been in 2021, will definitely change that on my next trip to GVL.

Ate at Jianna’s last week and it was very good. I would also add Soby’s to the list. Great spot. You’ll need reservations at any of the above places. Soby’s was packed Monday night.

That’s a pretty good list, but I wouldn’t send someone to a sammich place if they only had one night for dinner. And I just assumed OP wanted something in the downtown area (The Anchorage is a short ride away).
Willy Taco is a hard pass. It’s a big arse bar that serves mid-level fusion tacos. Also not that impressed with Trio, but I ate there a year ago when most places were just trying to survive.

Great food. Wines are priced well.
You used to be able to smoke cigars after dinner in the bar.
