Best places to eat around the New Orleans Marriott on Canal

Coming in for Endymion ball next Friday. Need a casual lunch place Fri and Sat. I'm guessing getting to Garden Dist is going to be a pain in the arse. So what are your top places near the Marriott? Does anyone do a Saturday brunch?

Will not be too difficult to get around for Friday lunch early in the day, but after 2-3 pm, it will be, as the Quarter fills up and city gets ready for the parades that night.
There are parades Uptown Saturday during the day, so getting to the Garden District will not be easy.

Turn around, go into the Quarter and hit Longway Tavern.

Backspace Bar & Kitchen - just down the block behind the Marriott. Cool place with great food.

You are going to want to be in the Quarter for Friday lunch/post-lunch. It is one of the best days of the year down there.
