I'm gonna go in the opposite direction here because everybody is suggesting good seafood places (& why wouldn't you, it's Florida for crying out loud)

Craft Bar has a solid menu, a great burger selection, & a fantastic bar. Tuesdays are 1/2 off burger night. They serve hand cut fries & make their own ketchup.

Do you drink beer? They have over 30 beers, meads, and ciders on draft.

We frequent this & Dewey's every time we're in town. (Two to three times a year to see Nana & Pops).

Leaving Louisiana and looking for good seafood is like leaving the Playboy mansion to look for a date. IMHO

Am local. Craft bar, mimmos, and harbor docks are all in Destin and consistently good.

Emerils and vintij are in miramar beach but pretty good. bijoux is good too.

Seagars is the most expensive and overly rated piece of garbage restaurant I’ve ever been to.

Ali’s bistro in fwb is a favorite of mine as well.

Please. Whatever you do, do not go to Tailfins and eat food. Drink, sure but do not eat food there.

Definitely drink beer. Will try to hit Craft Bar.

Any brewery suggestions? I’m open to driving a bit if it’s worth it.

Craft Bar on 30A in Grayton Beach closed up shop two years ago.

That location is now Grayton Beer Brew Pub. It also has good menu and beer. Before Covid, Thursday Trivia Nights were lots of fun.

Two breweries to try in Santa Rosa Beach: Grayton Brewing Co and Idyll Hounds Brewing Co.

These are both great options. They have good beer with IH being more of a craft brewery but Grayton has a larger taproom & more beers on draft. Bonus, there's Distillery 98 next door to IH.

If you head over to Fort Walton, there's a tap room nano brewery that houses Fort Walton Brewing & Crab Island Brewing in the same space. Really good microbrewed beer.

Do not go to Destin Brewing...

Ocean Club is not as good as it used to be, in my opinion. We went for a friday night and we were the only ones there... and slow service. If you want to watch a game and you don't want to go a loud bar, this is your spot. They have 4 huge TV's at the bar.

No idea. I can hit Destin brewery with a rock from my back yard, but I’ve never been. Since big dropper pointed out don’t go, skip it. I don’t think the local brews are good enough to limit myself to just their selection.
