Best places in Nola to peruse kitchen appliances?

Re-doing my kitchen in the near future and want to branch a bit from the standard Lowe’s/Home Depot in store shopping experience to look at ideas.
Any recommendations on solid places to see various models of ranges/fridges/etc...?
I struggle buying appliances online. I want to see and get a feel for them in person.
Thanks!

Gotta go to Comeaux!
Seriously, they have a decent higher end selection.

sign up for a restaurant depot account and go look at the commercial stuff, just to get some perspective

The Best Buy on Vets and I-10 has a new appliance section, lot of different brands. Not sure I'd buy from them, but it's a good place to look. LCR, Comeaux, A1 are some other options, depends on how high end you want to go.

Check out Barto's at 1400 Airline Hwy. before you get to LaBarre if heading there from N.O. toward Kenner.

The only problem is they really don't have much of a showroom. You need to look at the product, and order from them. They will give you the best price.

+1 to Marchand, and
Huey Brown kitchens in Elmwood,
Louis Howat, also in Elmwood.....but LH is a wholesaler, not a retailer. So you may need to buy through your contractor.
Contractors Discount on Albany in Kenner carries Capital Culinarian and a few of the higher end lines from the mainstream brands.
Most of the other places mentioned on this thread (besides Comeaux) will only have run of the mill brands and models. Marchand sells all the fancy brands, and Huey Brown handles BlueStar, among others.

True, they are more of a warehouse for appliances and no real showroom, but if you do your research you will get a decent price on the product.

I think Capital makes the best high end ovens.
