Is Kroger or HEB my best bet? Or is there a better place to get some good anouille sausage? Trying to make some gumbo for the game this weekend. TIA

B&W Meat Company
4801 N Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX 77018 - Just north of 610 and Heights area
Great place where I go for all my sausage/andouille in Houston. Highly recommend

One of the two shops in LaPlace will ship to you. I think it’s Jacobs.

HEB has Savoies. Hebert's on Richmond has frozen Poches. I found that out last weekend shopping for the same thing.

I’ll have to give this B&W a shot.
I’ve discovered, that despite all the Central TX BBQ, finding good, smoked sausage around here to store and eventually cut up into chicken gumbos or such has been a failing effort.
There’s a meat market in Rosenberg that I enjoy going to for great cuts of pork steaks and ribs, but their “smoked” sausage isn’t that smokey and has a weird flavor that doesn’t do right with gumbos or red beans.

No, there is nothing that either store offers that comes close to Louisiana’s best (Jacob’s, Bailey’s, or Bergeron’s).
You have to plan better. Either order online in bulk to have it shipped or always bring an ice chest when visiting Louisiana. Sorry, but I have no andouille recommendations for anywhere east of WBR Parish.

Well I don’t think Houston is east of WBR Parish.
