I grew up eating the best meat pies made by a little old lady who has since past. Where can I get my fix here?

Do you make them or just fry up those frozen ones sold in most grocery stores?

Oh, no way for me. I love savory pies. Beef stew type filling, chicken pot pie, turkey/bacon/ranch pie, etc.

This won't help, but you can buy frozen meat pies from Lasyone's in Natchitoches. The original and still the best meat pie. Then fry them up whenever you have the craving.

They're terrific. You can order them through Louisiana Crawfish Co. You have to order 60 at one time, though. That's the minimum for $150 which includes shipping and comes out to about $2.50 a piece, which is a good deal. Get someone to split them with you if you don't want 60 or give a half dozen or a dozen to folks as birthday or whatever gifts.

Not many do. Those frozen ones are just barely okay. Of course, once you've had Lasyone's, it's hard to eat the grocery store brand.
