My grandmother grew up eating them and now comes in once a week to eat lunch. Said they taste exactly the same. Decently filled, spicy and the crust comes out surprisingly nice and flaky for being frozen.

Bergeron's in Lobdell.
If your in the mood for a breakfast meat pie, the Mathernes in downtown BR has a slammin egg and chrizo pie.

Have you ever had Lasyone's? If you put them side by side and eat them, you will see several differences. They don't even look the same.
Lasyone's has a crispy thinner crust with crispy bubbles in it. The meat stuffing is almost creamy and the pie is full without air pockets. The stuffing in the store brand is dryer and not stuffed full. There are air pockets. The crust on the store brand tastes more "doughy". Sometimes, that's partly because the place cooking them doesn't cook them long enough, but even cooked longer, it can be a bit doughy.
I grew up eating Lasyone's. We picked them up when passing through Natchitoches all the time and they were usually always in the freezer. I've had the store brand plenty of times as caterers generally use these as do some restaurants. I've had other homemade meat pies that are okay, but nothing that comes close to Lasyone's. Bergeron's are pretty good, but different and better than the store brand. I had one version fried in large wonton wrapper that was pretty decent. I've tried to make them and can make something tasty, but not nearly as good as Lasyone's.

You can bake Lasyone's pies, but they aren't nearly as good baked as they are fried.
Zippy's crust does look like Lasyone's. I haven't had those empanadas, though. Are they good?

Never knew that. Did they say why?
Other than driving to Lasyone's, I don't know of any other way to get them. I don't think Lasyone's ships from the restaurant. They did some years ago, but stopped because shipping costs were too much or so they told me.
