There really is no one best BR Lebanese joint, it varies from dish to dish or visit to visit. But yes, any Albasha, Serop's Moss Side Lane location, Arzi's Gov St, and Roman's Govt St, are amongst BR's best.
Albasha has moister chicken shawarma..
Serops has better hummus, house salad dressing, and fattoush salads..
Arzi's does a solid stuffed plate(dolmas)..
Vasken's baby brother Johnny at Serops on Moss Side Lane does the best fried shrimp and great Kafta kebabs..
Albasha and Arzi and Roman's and Zoroona have meat grape leaves where as some competitors only have veg/rice ones..
Albasha, Atcha, and Kabob's do a solid meat moussaka.
Zoroona and Arzi's do a solid lamb shank, and though good, Zoroona is very proud of their lunch and dinner menu, in which many dishes do not merit the price nor mediocre portions furred out by rice.
Kased's does great falafel, but not much else..
Atcha and Pita Boy have solid spinach pies..
I can settle for Rotogrill kebabs if in the area, but not a big fan of Kamal's fare..nice guy though.
Serop's Express , even with their slightly raised 5 side plate prices through the years, and shrunken portions since late 2000s economic downturn, is still one of BR's healthiest and affordable quality meals. Albasha's or Arzi's Mezza, offer a great deal for the money in feeding 2 to 5.
Kased's, Olive Tree, Pita Boy, and A-Z International for shopping rose water, grape leaves, feta cheese, string cheese, spices, herbs, coated almonds, ingredients, etc..

I've only been a couple of times but Zaatar on Jefferson is the best I've had.
Nevermind. Damn, looks like it's closed. Shame.
Eta: closed permanently. Sorry to bring it up.
I guess threse's no room for ma and pop restaurants anymore...
Near campus, Atcha is my go-to.

Thanks for the reminder, I've been meaning to try Zaatar for a while now, on my hitlist.

I enjoyed Cafe Delphi on Coursey, when it was open. I like how their chicken had a little kick to it.

Cafe Phoenicia is hands down the best in the area. They have on in Denham and Zachary but not sure about BR. Close enough

And more. Like stolen credit card numbers.

Romans in Hammond Aire is arguably one of the worst run restaurants I've ever set foot in.

Roman's beef shawarma is the best

Roman's pita, zatar, hot sauce, and beef shawarma
Albasha's hummus, gyro, and salad dressing

I don't know how Roman's stays open. Every time I went in there they were empty. I guess they do really good to-go business? We prefer Serop's Express for the convenience and find the food to be pretty good. The one thing that is embarrassingly bad is their pita bread. I am pretty sure it is store bought, they don't even bother to heat it or try and give it a bit of a crisp. Might as well throw in a slice of wheat bread.

Café Delphi does have great spiced chicken, and some other dishes. It's owner Mir(super guy) split from Arzi's umbrella a few years back, and closed the Coursey store. Is now at Greenwell Springs Rd out in Central.
I always forget about Café Phoenicia being on the town's outskirts, has some great food(lamb shank, meat moussaka, pastas,etc..), used to see one it's owners Menam more often when he ran Azteca's in Hammond Aire.

Most of that I can't disagree with, but

When's the last time you've been? Their pita bread is awesome. I think they fry it.

Zorba's is Greek. They don't count.
People on this board for some reason don't seem to know the difference.

I was talking about Serops Express. I have been quite recently, it is most certainly not fried and not made in house. Roman's has good pita, I assume you thought I was talking about them.

Yeah, after re-reading what you said I have no idea why I thought you meant Roman's.
