I've been twice in the past week. The food is great. The service could be a little more prompt, but nothing that will stop me from returning.

I like Al-Noor and Bayleaf about the same, I give Al Noor the edge because of price. Bayleaf can get pricey.

The Indias buffet is pretty good too, I just never get over that way. Only went to Curry and Kebab once and was not impressed.

Indian in baton rouge is pretty bad. They don't serve authentic Indian flavors.
If you are in Houston, they have very good Indian.

Al Noor gets my vote, followed by Bay Leaf and Curry and Kabob. Don't care much for India's.

Actually I find it very good for the city size.

That's dumb. I find very little Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Chinese, etc like I've had in the respective country. Doesn't mean it can't be good.

I honestly think it's the worst of the big three.

India's is the best bang for your buck and Bayleaf is a little more upscale and spicy.

There isn't really such a thing as "authentic Indian" in a Western context.

Curry is a combination of spices created by British imperialists in order to unite the subcontinent in terms of culinary homogeneity.

Haven't been to Al-Noor yet. I'm a big fan of Bay Leaf, but I go to Curry and Kebab more, if that makes sense. India's is quite good too. It's very close to where I work.

Curry N' Kabab is by far my favorite. Al Noor was pretty good but I have to drive past CnK to get there and I'd prefer to just stop in and eat my absolute favorite chicken tikka massala in the entire world. I could live off of that. Indias was not very good although the buffet had a lot of options in comparison and their naan was a joke. Did not care for Bay Leaf at all and haven't been back. I heard Himalayas was pretty good but it is closed.

So, for me:

1. Curry N' Kabab

2. Al noor
3. Indias

4. Bayleaf
