Raul’s is probably the best.

I will never understand this other than it's big and cheap. It's dry, grey, and prison-grade meat.

For my money, the best burger in BR is the SoLou burger.

$20 for a cheesburger at Superior? That is nuts.

$1.75 to add BBQ sauce to it

I spend a lot of time at Superior, but I can’t defend the prices.

SoLou does have a good one. Place itself is strange, but the burger is good.

I enjoy the burger at J Alexander’s. Not even the fancier steak burger. Their classic American cheeseburger is my favorite.

Guess I wasn't very clear in my original question. Does the descriptor of old newspapers papering the walls and proximity to the overpass spark anyone's memory as to a particular restaurant? Thanks

Thank you, thank you. I don't get the love for that place either.

I hear you, and the quality of food on the hot bar isn’t quite as what it used to be. That said, I haven’t had a Tiger burger in some time, but they used to be great!!

Carlton’s right up hooper from them had good burger too. Their owner recently died, so I’m not sure how their food anymore either.

I don’t understand the hate on Dearmans. Bacon cheeseburger, fry, and coke from Dearmans is tough to beat.

I used to love Dearman’s back in the day. Then I found a hair in my burger and asked for another one. The second one also contained a hair. One time I heard a cook and manager get into an argument. I heard the cook yell at the manager, “and that tuna salad has been sitting in the fridge for 2 weeks.”
