While this is true, you could say this about the dozens of other tired topics that get started and rehashed, ad nauseam on here .. How many "what's the best steak in BR", "look at me! I reverse seared a steak!", "what's the best restaurant in New Orleans?" etc. threads do we need ? Starting this one is no worse than the ridiculous number of these that have been on here ..

Absolutely. But best steak doesn't occur with the same frequency as best burger. Reverse sear threads are fun because, well, pictures. And who on the FDB doesn't love food porn? And almost every NOLA restaurant thread has people rolling their eyes because, yeah, they could have searched.

Heck, if you look at the post I made on the first page of this thread you will see that there are eight threads started by one person alone on this topic. There can't be that many good burger places in Baton Rouge.
Now if someone wants to start multiple "best Mexican restaurants in Houston" threads, that would be understandable.

I really think "best steak" is neck and neck with "best burger" .. Steals all look the same in pictures .. brown, a little charred, and pink on the inside .. It's all the same .. The search function once a thread is a week or so old around here really is terrible ..

I don't know why people get so worked up about particular threads and their frequency. The board is elastic. People come and go. Conversations are different. It is so easy to not click on something.
Heck, every day there is a new beer thread with 15 pictures of Ghost. It's not new. Not criticizing those at all. Just sayin'...
