Art Car and Eureka Heights MiniBoss might be the best made Texas IPAs that are readily available on the store shelves.

Sorry they’re not hayze boyz, but they’re damn delicious.

Houston breweries are playing in a conference above Dallas. It is what it is.

The dude mentioned deep ellum and tupps as if they were Dallas’ best offerings.

Deep ellum is meh, tupps is good when they’re on, but there are much better places in Dallas. Houston was far ahead, but the gap has bridged nearly to even right now.

3 Nations Royal Blood is a great summer/pool beer.

It’s out in the sticks, but most craft stores and Whole Foods/central market carry it.

I guarantee you whatever you think is top notch I've tried before. I used to be a huge beer guy but it got old, so ya I'm no expert but nothing down here is mind blowing. Just an opinion.

Your opinion is fine until you mention deep ellum and tupps to prove your point.

Turning point, Manhattan project, celestial, and others are putting out great stuff. IMO Dallas has caught up with houston beerwise though I would use a different list than art car to make the case for houston.

then i would point you towards Manhattan Project Hoppenheimer. Its a great West Coast IPA (DIPA) along the lines of Pliny.

I thought everyone still thought yellow rose was the best IPA in Texas anyways.

Seems like they stopped producing their best beer (double brown stout) years ago now.

A fresh Deep Ellum IPA is still good. But I usually only drink them when I'm out seeing live music since most places have that. Problem is, they are often months ols at those places. My favorite mexican food place started carrying it last year and I was excited to have that option. What they served me from a can was 6 months old and tasted like arse.
