Going to Dallas and want to stock up on some beers I can not get in Houston. What do y'all recommend? I enjoyed the boards recommendations from Covington.

Best breweries right now are:
Celestial
Turning Point
Odd Muse
Tupps
Manhattan Project

You'll have to go to the brewery to get all those except Manhattan and Tupps which you can find in stores. Or you can find Celestial and Turning Point on draft at craft beer bars.

I've read good things on 3 Nation, some people swear by Deep Ellum but meh, Peticolas, Lakewood has some good stouts

You can find Jester King around as well which is always good

Yea, but you have to know people who know people to even get a sniff of that stuff. And half the time you can't even find the front door because of all the overgrown weeds hiding it.

Deep Ellum is very meh. Tupps has some good IPAs. I honestly think Dallas has overrated beer scene. St. Arnold's art car is my go to Texas beer.

Tupps makes really good IPAs (DDH series specifically) and stouts (Full Grown Man series). Also echo others about Martin House. Not sure if they are available or not in Houston.

They have a few good ones, and it's not to far from Dallas.

Martin House has some good ones, and some really odd ones too. But this one is in Ft. Worth, but not that bad of a drive.

Their pickle beer was odd and horrendous. But I had a couple of friends that liked it. Yak.

Flight delayed by maintenance resulted in spending tonight in Dallas. Odd Muse has several good IPAs. All in a Dream here, lots of mango!

Community is decent and like Mosaic, but better options IMO. Texas Ale Project is nearly as close to downtown and I had a better experience there on recent trip (think last summer).
