I like Lou's better than Giordanos and it isn't close to me.

Amazon seems to ship Lou's pizzas 2 day service. Not a good price deal ($22 or so for a 9'' deep dish) but I can vouch that a medium would be more than enough for 2 people, so a small is probably pretty good for 2 people eating dinner.

That would be 8 meals worth for $90, which isn't THAT bad, but expensive for sure for pizza (they sell a 2 pepperoni and 2 sausage one for that price)

I have won a bet with a buddy on saints vs Bears games and he shipped Lou Malnati’s a few times. They were pretty good.

Have heard this as well, but not sure it's "Chicago Style" Think they do cheese to the edge of the crust so it has that charred crust feel, but it IS deep dish.

So it may not be traditional chicago style, but it is deep dish (which many would say means it is chicago style) if that makes sense.

Just looked it up on amazon and here are some questions asked:

Is it boneless?
Answer:
It's pizza, no bones.

Pan pizza is "Chicago-style," but I don't think Pequod's has the capability to ship pizza yet, unlike Lou.

Right but I think Pequods has a different crust than the "traditional" chicago style pizza, so it may not be 100% a true chicago style

I'm probably doing a crap job saying this

If we're splitting hairs, Pequod's is more of a thick crust pizza than true chicago style.

I really like Giordano's and Lou Malnati's if you're talking about options to get shipped.

We ordered from Lou Mahnalti's for a long time. Haven't done it in a while, but they are excellent and true Chicago style.

When yall order and reheat these pizzas, do you lose a lot not having it cooked in the cast iron? Does it come in a container to bake it in?

What about Gino's East. We had Gino's East and Giordano's during our trip to Chicago and really liked Gino's East better. Do the pizzas they ship turn out good?

I just had Pequod's on Tuesday for the firs time. I've been to Gino's East and Giordano's and it was legit. The crust was definitely different, but was very good.

Girodano's ships, but it's pretty expensive.

lou malnati's is my favorite chicago style pie, and i've ordered their frozen pizzas a few times.

their frozen pizza tastes better than a fresh pizza from dominos, papa johns, pizza hut, etc.

i order from taste of chicago which is 6 pizzas for $110, no tax and free shipping. i usually wait for a deal when they give a 7th pizza free.

If you get Malnatis, be aware:

The sausage pizza comes with a sausage patty the size of the pie buried in the cheese and sauce. It is a bit overwhelming if you are not expecting it.

Had both when we went in March, preferred Pequods. As someone mentioned above Malnatis is really deep dish and Pequods is more of a 'pan pizza', but it's a damn good pan pizza.
