I really like the way that GW Finn's does charbroiled oysters. You may want to hit them up.

Almost every place I've been in recently has some version. R'evolution has an interesting one, and that's the last place I ate.

I'm not a fan of price per portion with this app, even though that's almost never a deciding factor with me. The ingredients aren't usually that interesting either though now chefs are getting better. The R'evolution version is a smoked Bienville butter...it's still not worth it for the money though.

Around here it's usually $18 for a dozen oysters chargrilled and after they shrink on the grill that's not enough food/ingredients for that price IMO. Still tasty. A friend and I made 100 for an Ole Miss game one year and destroyed them all. It was $40 for the box of oysters...his pit got destroyed in the process, so there's that.

shite you should try some at Oxbow in Napa. They're about $3 each, but are way better than anything around here. LINK
I like to reminisce about $0.25 oysters and $3 pitchers at the Chimes while eating them.

Thanks for all the suggestions in this thread. We ended up at Casamento's for lunch and bourbon house for supper.

Glass, you were right about the soft shell crab.... Holy shite, I may stop by on my way home for another one. The oysters were also VERY good and nice sized.

Casamento's:

What was on the fries?
How were the chargrilled at Casamento's?

They're the "charbroiled fries". They cover them with the same sauce they put on the oysters.
