ill probably get yelled at for writing this but Cafe Americain has a pretty good black and bleu burger.

I'm gonna get bashed but raouls is all hype, people just like the setting and nostalgia many attach their "college days" to that place. Burger is okay but it's usually overcooked.

mason's grill gives me the heebie jeebies..the place reminds me of a funeral home inside even the bar area, and the people that work there seem strange.

This is nowhere near correct.. Judice Inn or Southside Bakery may be hailed as the burger mecca in Lafayette.. But the River Queen in Port Allen's Ida Burger with cheese and bacon kicks their arse before you even cross the Mississippi River bridge..

ground patti isn't even in the top 4 or 5 in lafayette. The new place called Burger Smith in River Ranch is amazing. Not to mention Judice Inn and Southside Bakery- etc.
