Was Chelsea's a deli/sandwich shop near campus, maybe in a Winn Dixie shopping center?

Yes. I think the grocery store was A&P then Super Fresh in the 90s. Chelsea's was to the right of the store closer to Highland. It was next to Baskin Robins. Then moved to the Perkins Overpass.

Mid City Beer Garden is same owner and has some of the favorites on the menu.

I got an underaged drinking ticket leaving Chelsea's one night in that parking lot. I'm pretty sure that was a Super Fresh grocery store. Parking around there was a lot better back then.

Family still has a restaurant in Walker. I just found out about this and hear the food is very good.

Well I'll be damned. I have to tell my old man about that, he'll want to check it out. Pedigo's was his favorite place. I remember it being a smoky joint with live music. Old school.

Separate fact, did you know that the other BR serial killer (Sean Vincent Gillis) dismembered a prostitute behind Mason's Grill?

She’s a pain in the arse but damn those were good. She has a camp at Port Fouchon and cooks all the time and I’ve been lucky to dine a couple times. Batshit but she can cook.

Word. Some nice baws sent us there for a bite to eat before the 96 Bammer game there. All I remember is it was packed and a group of LSU fans let us sit with them to eat.

Yea I saw it on the LP Rants and Raves Facebook Group and I asked if was same family and it is indeed.

And yea I read all about Gillis. I knew him through his gf Terri. I gave that sick frick a ride home from his shift at Circle K on Brightside one day in the rain.

Wow. Did he seem like a normal dude?

Did any sensors in your brain go off when you were around him?

Deangelo’ Pizzeria on Lee drive.

The food was just ok but I worked there for a couple years in the mid 2000s and those were some of the wildest years of my life.

I still dream of their "Momma Mia" and "That's Italian" sandwiches.
