I haven't had any BBQ in Memphis besides Central but I was blown away by it.

The wings were life changing

Central, commissary and interstate listed

Go south to Horn lake and Memphis BBQ co. Melissa Cookston can throw down

It doesn't really fit what OP is looking for, but the ribs at Blues City Café were absolutely delicious.

Which one would be best to avoid super long lines? Planning to go about 2-3 pm to avoid lunch rush

At 2 or 3 you probably won’t have a problem at any of the locations but, generally speaking, the original location on central ave is usually more crowded. But it also has more character. I’d go there and then Cross the street to Railgarten - a really cool place to hang out, have some drinks and play ping pong or any of the other hundreds of things they have to do there.

Same if you're looking for a pulled pork sandwich.

I usually send people to Central for the chicken and the dry rub wings, also like their vinegar sauce and their mustard sauce

BBQ Shop is pretty good all around, I love the bologna and cheese plate, good sauce

Cozy Corner has good ribs and wings, and they do a BBQ Cornish game hen that is really good

I like the meats and banana pudding at the Commissary, can't stand the sweet sauce

Don't go to Corky's

Memphis BBQ company right outside Memphis. The owner Melissa won 3 Memphis in May world championships . The dry rub ribs are amazing and they serve fresh pork skins on every table.

Central BBQ (on Central Ave.) or BBQ Shop (on Madison) are my favorites.

I do like the Rendevouz for what it is.
