You should drive up to Teddy's Juke Joint off Old Scenic in Zachary for the same type atmosphere.

Man their Friday specials on apps and pitchers was awesome.

It was bottles and not pitchers in the early 2000's, half price apps on Fridays for sure though. Bottles were $1 for happy hour every day, but that slowly became $1.25 and then $1.50 not long after that. Not sure what the price was at the end, as I hadn't been going for years...all good times indeed and great live music

Currently looks like only live music is on Tuesday and Friday nights.

A visit to Teddy's Juke Joint is like stepping into the past. It's like walking back into 1979, when Teddy's was established.

Once a little shotgun house where Teddy was born, it has been described as an "Authentic Louisiana Juke Joint". It was turned into a blues club by Teddy and Nancy. On the walls you'll find old photographs, bar signs, license plates, and relics from the past. Teddy is a "Slim Harpo Ambassador" recipient of the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation and other notable recognitions by local and worldwide publications.

Teddy sits behind his throne of music spinning the best of rythym and blues, and "Nancy's Kitchen" is always open for some of the best food you'll ever put in your mouth. The club books world famous and down home Blues acts 2-4 nights per week and classic spins the rest of the time. With just one visit you will feel the warmth and hospitality of Teddy's and will be sure to come back.

Punchers was a slice of Jersey Shore in the 225.

Chelsea’s (by Duvics) was great, sad it’s gone.

Whatever happened to Brightside Bar/Grill?

I probably drank 1000 bud lights as an 18/19 year old.

Was DJ Prep the guy with that yellow Ford ranger on spinners that drove around town circa 2008?
