Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai or Indian?
For whatever choice you make, please give name, location and why.
TIA

Easy. Dong Phoung. New Orleans East. Bakery, restaurant, and price makes it win. Can't go wrong here with steamed buns, banh mi, meat pies, soups, and plates they offer.

Tan Dinh, Little Chinatown, Kanno, Luvi

Indian I will go with Taj Mahal as they are awesome and Saffron’s menu is limited but equally great.

Vietnamese is the best because we actually have a substantial Vietnamese population. Where to go depends on what dish you’re in the mood to eat.

Sitting here on course 3 of 6 of the “Feed Me” all raw menu. It’s my 3rd time here and each time I come it gets even better.

Thai - Banana Blossom on the westbank in Gretna
Indian - Traditional Taj Mahal. Modern fusion style then I’d pick Saffron + they just updated their menu this past week.
Chinese - Dian Xin in the quarter by French Market. Just FYI it’s BYOB with no cork fee
Japanese - Daiwa hidden gem on the westbank just opened on vets haven’t been to that location yet
Vietnamese - Lilly’s cafe on magazine st, but man I miss Kimson wish they never closed.

Saffron Nola
Not really close either
It’s an Indian fusion place on Magazine near Napoleon. Family owned by an Indian family that has been in Nola for 30+ years
They update their menu constantly and don’t half arse anything.

I don’t agree with that but hopefully Blue Giant ups the game.
