I swear to God...

If you don't get the seared scallops and crispy pork belly - I will find you...and slap you.

So damn good

To the OP's questions, I have had some incredible apps at various fine dine places around the city and in other cities so it is hard to pick one. But for casual places in the city I have two go to appetizers. The torpedo shrimp at Pho Orchid and the marinated albacore tuna at Kanno. Highly recommended.

It's the only time I eat scallops. Besides, if you don't like the scallop, then pass it off to pop's and snake the pork belly from him.

Crabcakes I had at a place in Key West (Kelly's??), Curried Crabcakes with a Habenero Chutney. Also there was a Habenero Blueberry Sauce that I have tried to copy many times.

Procuitto wrapped scallops from somewhere I don't remember.

Try the grilled ones on the Gaucho Plate at La Boca.

I'll be trying these out soon.

The best I've ever had was a tie between ACME Baton Rouge and Ruffino's special one night.

I was HIGHLY underwhelmed by the ones at Parrains a few weeks back. Super watery, and no flavor.

I'd read somewhere that the ones at Drago's in the Hilton were not as good as the ones at the Metairie restaurant. Something about not having the same grill due to fire code restrictions.

Are the ones at the Hilton just as good?
