Just grilled the duck breasts stuffed with jalapeno and cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. they were damn good....BUT i still prefer an unstuffed duck breast WITH the skin. The skin is key imo, and it was removed in this case.

The burgers i did last week were outstanding. The patties were thick but not meatball shaped, and had a PERFECT amount of fat. I am normally very opposed to premade anything, but these patties were excellent.

I prefer Benoit's in Addis to Bergeron's....maybe it's just because that's what we grew up with here, but I've tried Bergeron's and I think Benoit's is much better

I honestly don't know the exact hours they keep, but you can get the number off their site LINK

I've never had their plate dinners, but the boudin, sausage, and stuffed chickens, etc are all pretty good.

I've had Benoit's jambalaya & white bean plate lunch and roast beef po-boy. Both were excellent. I think they have shrimp stew, chicken stew, hamburger steaks, fried fish on some of the other days.

Boudin and stuffed chickens are great. I think their stuffed chickens are good stand-in for Hebert's in Maurice.

I like Bergeron's plate lunches, cracklin, sausage, and some of the meats. I don't care for their boudin. IMO, there are better places in BR for boudin.

And Ronnie's cracklin are seasoned much better too

Agree 100%... Benoit's boudin is much better than Bergeron's. We also love the hogshead cheese, stuffed chickens and marinated pork roast.

Bergeron's hoghead cheese is the best I've had. Better than Jerry Lee's. The crabmeat and cheese stuffed pistolettes are amazing at Bergeron's. Smoked chicken patties are very good. The boudin balls are passable but not great. Worth a trip to stock up on the goodies.

Man I don't like theirs, too much gristle. Too chunky! Come get some from Kelly's in New Roads!

We love the stuffed chickens from Bergerons - great easy meals for busy days. (Not the cornbread dressing but the seafood stuffing.) The cracklins are good too. And I love the Bergeron's seasoning. It's spicy and good!
