Looks really good!

Can you add a list of ingredients to your original post? The pic is helpful, but it'd be more helpful with the list.

My bad, didn't realize I never posted a list.

Ingredients:

2-4 slices of bacon
2 lbs cubed beef chuck
1 large onion
1 bell pepper
Few cloves of garlic
Flour
Sugar
12-16 oz dark stout beer
Carrots
4 oz tomato paste
3 cups chicken stock (NOT BEEF)
Seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, bay leaf, thyme, hot sauce, cayenne, parsley)

That should be it, mostly items you should have in your kitchen already. Very easy and customizable dish. You can add things like celery or potatoes if you like as well.

Lol mine's going to be tomato-y, the one in the picture looks like a 12oz can or atleast it did on my phone.

Yeah I didn't use the whole can. It should still be fine, let me know how it comes out

It looks great. I am going to try it soon and probably add potatoes like others have said.

You need to have a beer with fightin tigers or Wise soon.

Turned out pretty good, the extra tomato didn't really affect it much. I would definitely make again.

Skip the potatoes and throw a few turnips in there. They don't break apart like potatoes. Really, really good.

Looks great, I like the mashed potatoes take, I think you are lucky not using Guiness, I have a German pot roast recipe that uses stout dark beer ,crushed pretzels as the flour and I almost ruined it using Guiness. It has a nasty burnt coffee taste when cooked. IMHO

How much flour? I may try this this week sometime and want to get it right. Not a big cook in the kitchen so I'm not familiar with how much or little to use in this kind of stuff.

Not much, like a TB or two. Most of the thickening happens when you boil it the last 20 mins.

I made this again today for at least the 20th time. This thread is over 2 years old but it still delivers. Great recipe.
