Brisket is very good as is the pulled pork. The few sides that I've tried so far have been underwhelming.

ETA: Saw on the Nextdoor app where someone was upset that they were closed when they went. Sign on the outside said sold out of BBQ. Others responded with that's how a good BBQ place operates. No heating up meats, when what you've made for the day sells out, you shut it down.

Not sure - their hours posted are until 9 o’clock - the post on NextDoor had said the customer went in the afternoon and Bayou Smokehouse was closed bc they ran out of food.

I take it with a grain of salt bc there are always egregious complaints on NextDoor

Thats fair, and common for BBQ, as stated earlier. Louisiana peeps, for the most part, don’t understand quality bbq and how those restaurants have to operate to turn a profit.

FWIW, they recently updated their hours online (within last week or so I believe - but certainly when the post was made).... it used to say 11-2 on Sat

Hope they have improved from the one and only time I ate there! By far worst BBQ I've ever eaten in my life. Brisket cut with the gain and just an unappetizing look to the food in general. Maybe with the move they'll be better I'll try one more time. Gotta be better than this:

Depends when you ate at the Inniswold location, if that's what your referring too? Supposedly, that location changed hands within the past year, when the current owner of the Coursey location bought the restaurant. I've eaten at the Inniswold location twice, bracketing the supposed change in ownership. Neither was great or bad, but I attributed that to the problem all BR BBQ restaurant face and that is traffic. Good BBQ needs a steady stream of customers and that location didn't seem to have much traffic.

Just picked up food from there today for lunch and it was some of the best bbq I’ve had in the city.

Brisket was great. Sausage and ribs were also very good. Sides were beans, cole slaw, and mac n cheese.

I’ll definitely be back and this will be my go-to for bbq

I probably saw you. Went there for lunch today and wow.. Best burger I've had in BR

My one complaint is that they are extremely stingy with their sides
