Save yourself some cash and go to Himalayas. At least they won't charge you extra for na'an or rice.

Bay Leaf is 10x better than Himilaya's. Like I said, their chicken tika masala might be my favorite dish in baton rouge

I am an Indian. I have been to all the three Indian places in BTR many times. I can say for sure that Bay Leaf is head and shoulders above both India's and Himalayas.
Also, for any LSU student, Bay Leaf offers a 30% discount coupon for the buffet. Search for "LSU Indian Students Association" in google and you will find the coupon in their web page.

Damn I wish we had an indian restaurant on the westank. Not only do we not have one on the Westbank, but I haven't even found on in Metairie or New Orleans that knocks my socks off. I used to love the India Palace off of Vets but it closed after Katrina.
I know LOVE LOVE LOVE India 4 U in Mandeville, but only get it once a month or so when we go up there.

Guy I work with is from India and he eats there all the time. He said it was more authentic than India's.
This essentially means nothing as his perception is wholly dependent on what part of India he is from.
Each state has it's own indigenous cuisine.

I think Bay Leaf is owned by the same peeps that owned India Palace.

I'd like to try Bay Leaf next time i'm in town. the only Indian restaurant in BR that I have tried is India's and I thought it was terrible.
Of course, the time I tried India's I had just gotten back from London, where I ate Indian every other meal. might not have been a fair comparison.....
; it has been 9 years since my trip to London so my standards for Indian food has gone WAY down.
