Used to be wonderful!! Unfortunately the family recently sold the business. I guess this is what it has become. Sad

New owners definitely don’t seem to care as much as the Baum/Landry family did. Sad indeed.

I couldn't watch the entire video. Too nasty. I also couldn't understand the guy talking. How did he get back there to take the video?

objectively that very man that made the video could have thrown out the cake pan with the rat in it.

That rat had been there a long time. How many people have walked by that rat and done nothing. That place was beyond neglected. Filthy. There's no excuse for that.

It's a weird video.

This is the place I work (presumably in and around that area the way he's describing everything). Look how dirty and nasty it all is. Why don't THEY do something about it?

Who is they???

Meh...that rat looked like a throw down.

But he scrubbed the pans with bleach to make them safe from the bubonic plague. So the cake tastes like Clorox in lieu of rat shite. I’m guessing more protein and flavor in the rat shite.

Baum’s 50 years ago made an Italian rustic bread that was incredible and on my mother’s table a couple of times a week. And King’s Typewriter Repair was next door in the same building. Shoney’s Big Boy was right there too and that was when East Airport went the old route not direct into Wooddale. The end of it was the original Pier One Imports in an old beat up building.

I would give an arm for that bread and one of their Lemon Meringue pies.
