In Los Angeles, it’s extremely easy to find good pho for like $5.25 for a large portion at an authentic viatnamese restaurant.

$8.75 is what a large goes for here, and that’s ridiculously cheap for the amount of work that goes into it.

Who is overrating and hyping the dish? Its a hearty and healthy soup (assuming sodium is not too high) that is nice to mix into your dining routine. Like many of the replies, there are different times that I crave it. You may never acquire a taste for it.

I think it is clear that OP and you are not a fan of Pho, but haven't seen any posts lately that would lead to the dish being hyped.

Agree with you. I know it's cliché but if I'm eating soup, give me Gumbo or chili on a cold day.
