I wasn't suggesting doing a challenge every week but I'm not against it. I'm frying some chicken for dinner this evening. hat would be a good choice I think. Although I know many don't like to fry chicken at home.

My vote is a sauce piquante! I think we should try and get the mea for the week decided the weekend before either Saturday or Sunday.

I'm doing chicken enchiladas tonight, so if that's the contest, I'm game.

I vote Rice and Gravy.
Everyone here has one and there should be about 898379438 different ways to do it.

ETA: mostly because I thawed a bunch of plate ribs yesterday.

Honestly if we want to do this we should start a thread looking for challenge ideas, then set a schedule so that people can prepare for it.

Week 1: Meatloaf
Week 2: Boeuf bourguignon
Week 3: Baked Alaska

etc

There's a subreddit called "52 weeks of cooking" that does just that. It would be awesome to do it here.

I like that concept because you could look forward to preparing your favorite dish a few weeks out.

I do miss the chopped challenges on TD.

I'll do it if we start throwing in some ideas that people want to do.

Should it be classics we all cook all the time or adventurous stuff to make everyone try new things?

Mix of both?

I’d say both. People will be more inclined to do classics probably.

Brisket
Steak n Sides
Short Ribs
Ribs
Gumbo
Chicken Salad

We low carb here. Lol. Will participate if family will eat the entree. Was told after-the-fact that my meatloaf hating wife would have tried it. Smh.
