They haven't cross referenced with ID in your experience?

I'm going to tea at Windsor Court and really not wanting to pay the $45 copay for a Covid test on top of the price of the tea, but I'm afraid I get there and am turned away for ID not matching vax card. I would do it if I was flexible on where I was going, but this is a booked deal. Hmm.

Only one place I've gone to did more than a quick glance, and that was Dat Dog on Frenchman. A coworker has a screen shot of someone else's vax card from LA Wallet and has gotten in everywhere we've gone except that one time. I highly doubt the Windsor will be looking all that hard. It's typical only for places where everyone is covered in tats and has crazy colored hair.

Covid test and vaccination proof is how white liberal restaurant owners keep black people out. If you aren't black don't worry about it.

Except New Orleans is a majority black city with majority of vaccinations both initiated and completed also being black and the current rules were put in place by a black mayor. Crawl back into your cave.

Most of the restaurant owners are white liberals. Mayor does what big money says. White liberals hate black people, accept it. Go back to your suburb

I've been checked for ID and proof of vaccination at plenty of NOLA restaurants over the last 60 days. I would not risk the chance of being turned away or ruining a special meal.

Is it a terrible idea for us to keep a running list of who is checking and who isn't? Would that put the spotlight on businesses?

That'd be difficult to do, when it may depend on which staff member is checking, if the city is enforcing it in the area recently, or if COVID infection levels have changed recently.

I've made a point not to specifically point out which places I've been that have NOT checked.

I'll happily point out those places that I think go overboard with it. Miel Brewery was the latest I've been that seemed a bit wacky with verifying the app photo and then giving us a stamp to SIT OUTSIDE AND DRINK BEER.

Dang. I think you're right. I would be so pissed if I drove all the way out there and had to go home because the one place I chose decided to be strict. I'll just pay for a test. It is what it is.

I'm going to San Diego on Sunday and even they aren't as strict as NOLA.

I eat out 2-3 times a week & have only been cross checked twice.

They’ve checked for vax card 100% of time, though.
