Anything Better Than Swamp Fire Out there?

Hello. I don't have a whole lot of time to sift through the threads. But we are doing 4 sacks for our annual boil this year. I have always used swamp fire and added some liquid boil to it and some cayenne.

I am in OKlahoma so i have to order all you guys stuff up this way.

So what are you guys favorite seasoning. Swamp fire is dang good, but am I missing the boat??? Zat is too salty for my liking. I was reading about red magic... any good???

If you've been happy with Swamp Fire then continue to use Swamp Fire. You boiling crawfish, not trying to launch a rocket. Relax and go with what you know.

You didn't hurt anyone's feelings , just a lot of children who like to be little asses . Go with what you know . We use pro boil and one liquid . We also dust a little after cooked with slap yo mamas . That is frowned upon on this board .

This board turned me on to Chackbay. A bag of LA plus a bag of Chackbay is my go-to. The chackbay has a deep flavor.

I've always been partial to Louisiana. Have really only tried Zatarains besides Louisiana. Maybe I need to branch out myself.

It should be there. If it's not by the other seasoning down the aisle check the seafood dept.

i actually tried LA's fire plus bag of Chackbay

Actually have some heat on the first batch doing it this way

I'm out of state, so I have t order it online. I know there are several websites with it.

What size pot you using for this, and is it filled halfway-ish with water?

I do a bag of geaux creole, a back of chackbay and half pound of salt.

120 qt pot. filled to the 4th hole from top of the basket.

I have a 100 qt pot. Whatever the fourth row of holes from the top is on my basket is where I fill it up. Maybe 2/3? I dunno.
