New Spicy chickendish that is just rolling out.
quote:
The chicken is smoky, slightly sweet and semi-spicy. In an event debuting Nashville Hot Chicken, KFC CMO Kevin Hochman said that Nashville Hot Chicken was first crafted, according to modern myths, as a super-spicy revenge dish. KFC's Nashville Hot Chicken certainly packs in some heat, but it is far from the spiciest chicken around. But its complexity of flavor more than makes up for the moderate spice levels

I've eaten KFC once. That was plenty.

I haven't eaten KFC in ages. Popeye's for me.

Sounds like something I want to try, but I'd bet $100 it would mess up my stomach something fierce

A buddy of mine sent me this.
This guy enjoyed it. That poor bird...
ETA: You can just fast forward it to the 3:40 mark.

I will try it one of these days. My wife is a healthy eater so I will have to hit it up for lunch during the week.

KFC can't sell something from Nashville, that's in Tn.

I've heard great things about Nashville Hot Chicken; I just have the feeling that KFC won't do it justice. I'd rather have my first taste of it at a place that specializes in it as opposed to a national chain.

I've had a pot pie from KFC. Only think I've had in over 20 years, I'm sure. I never liked the chicken. The pot pie is surprisingly good and the pastry top is excellent. I was shocked.

I had the tenders yesterday. I thought they were tasty. Would eat again. I've never had genuine Nashville hot chicken before, though.

That video makes you wonder if that dude had a 20 dollar family fill up in the backseat. Good Lord he at that leg and breast in like a minute

I DESPISE that guy. He's revolting. And aggravating.

I would imagine that this "hot chicken" will be akin to the various incarnations of "habanero x" and "sriracha x" and "ghost pepper x" that various fast food restaurants have done: a pale imitation aiming to cash in on the reputation/hype having about as much relation to whatever buzz phrase they're using as hot tamale candy has to actual tamales. That is: none.

I love hot tamales. I suck the coating off then enjoy the clear glob underneath.

Oh. They're my favorite candy. But if my exposure to tamales was limited to hot tamales then someone slipped me a real tamale, I would not recognize the two as having common traits. So, too, does it go with fast food riffs on foodie trends.

This is bomb. Kfc outdid themselves with this one folks

I had it yesterday on my way home after fishing all day for rainbow trout.
It was good for KFC. Moist and good flavor. I would still rather have Popeyes spicy though.

The pickles are a nice touch too.
