I'm looking for a Bluetooth thermometer for smokes at a reasonable price. Target has this one online for $29. Lowes is $40, Home Depot and Academy are $50. So I'm considering pulling the trigger at $29.

Screw any weber igrill product. I kept having their probes go out.

No brainer at $29. I had one for a long time and last Christmas upgraded to the one with 4 prongs. If you do any smoking whatsoever its a must. Even if not, very nice to have. You can check the temp in their app and if you happen to have an apple watch there's a compatible app for that as well for easy temp checking.

dont do it. its kinda shitty.

i've had 2. they wont turn off and run the battery down unless you freaking pull the battery out. could be the android app is just shitty but the bluetooth connection wouldn't die even after turning BT off on my phone. i had to buy new batteries literaly the second day i owned it.

i was doing some smoking one night and the temp went below zero and even though it was in a screened in room the probe got 'stuck' at 130 and while i was safe in bed checking the temp, my meat was overcooking because the temp never changed.

there was no indication in the app that anything was wrong until i rebooted my phone and pulled the batter from the probe.

i'd get something a little higher quality and i NEVER say that about weber products.

Yeah I was going through some Amazon reviews and this was the complaint I saw the most. Supposed to have a 150 hour battery life and a lot of people got nothing near that.

I never had an issue with the mini. I do recommend the slightly bigger one even more though as it does turn off and has the 4 prongs.

I have the regular igrill. Been having it for a little over a year. Works great! Has 4 probe ports, and i've never had any issues as some of the above posters.

Mine was a piece of junk. I can highly recommend my Tenergy Solis 6 probe someone posted here once. The BT range is impressive and accurate temps. The app is great to and I like the option to customize temps for certain foods you want.

Damn I just looked it up and Woot had it for $30 today (regular $59) but it's already sold out.

Same here bug,

Mine are always within 1-2 degrees of my mk4 thermopen. I stopped using the ambient probe when I got my temp pid but luckily never had a probe go out.

Mine is pretty accurate. I have a thermopen as well. I use it in my mash when making beer as well, where a couple degrees makes a difference. I bought the ambient probe separately and it is a waste. I thought if i clipped the probe to the grate, then i'd be able to know my temps in my kamado joe. But, heat at the cast iron grates will be higher than where the temp probe is mounted on the Joe.

Had mine for 2 years. I’ve done briskets and whole birds using it and am happy with it. Only complaint as others have mentioned is it’s hard to get on and off. You have to really mash the button down to get it to stay on and sync or turn off. Haven’t had any of the mentioned problems with probes, though.

Just spend a little more money and get a product from thermoworks like the smoke... I think they have something similar to this product.
