Thinking about trying it this weekend. Was curious if the tasting menu or ala carte would be preferential.

Think it’s fantastic. Been several times - eaten twice. Giving the English names for everything.

Ham croquettes - phenomenal and filling. Crowd pleaser

Smothered potato chips - also filling and crowd pleasing. Nothing weird. And the meat on them is so rich

Chickpea and mushroom fritters - good but not as great as the ham

Sautéed garlic shrimp - really great, but it’s as good as any sautéed shrimp so wouldnt waste stomach room unless you’re not into the more adventurous stuff

Seared coulatte - this is probably the best thing I’ve had. I loooooove romesco sauce and also love beef so it’s everything I want in a dish. Superb

Mussels with saffron butter - I get mussels everywhere I go. These are good, but I’ll probably skip them next time

Lamb skewers - if you like lamb, you’ll love this. I’m so so on lamb, but it’s still executed very well

Grilled asparagus salad - same sauce as the beef above so of course it was fantastic. I used the plate to dip everything else into it

The plate of all 4 toasts - shocking myself, the white anchovy and goat cheese was sooooo good. The tomato too.

Gin cured salmon - love a good crudo type dish. Had the same tomato mixture that’s on the tomato toast. Sweet but with a fiery bite

Compressed cucumber salad - it’s cucumber salad

Pan fried gulf fish - fish of the day was triple tail. Very good. The veggies it was served over were out of this world

Bone in pork Chop - I didn’t try this one! But friend loved it.

They have a nice wine list as well. Tons of Spanish wines.

I think next time I go, I’m going to do one of the tasting menus. $45-$50 not a bad deal at all.

I’ve been.

We got some of the same stuff LL got. I thought the mussels were so so also, and the toasts were just above average. I liked the lamb skewers.
Overall I thought it was above average.
My main takeaway was the pricing though. Most of the tapas were $14+. And each person prob could eat 3 themselves (depending on which you get, of course). I just thought it was VERY pricey for what you get. I miss the days of $8 tapas.

Great review. Thanks LL.

I'm going this weekend for the first time and I'm really pumped. Your review really helps.

That’s why I’m leaning towards the tasting menu. $45 for the La Mancha and all 5 plates are something I’m interested in. Not too bad.

It’s too early for me to go into detail, and LL already has, so I’ll just say that it’s very, very good.

Tried it out last night. Not really a fan.

Service - service was really good and everyone was very attentive and pleasant.

Ambiance - Very generic and kind of loud. Could be much better.

Drink menu - Lots of wines. Their cocktail list was very limited though. They did have a whole list of gin and tonic drinks which was kind of cool to see.

Food - Nothing special and a lot of salt. The white bean stew was really good. The lamb skewers were not that good, but the sauce they had with it was good enough to cover it with. The muscles were disappointing. Besides the saffron, they were very bland. I like muscles and these were a big disappointment. Ham croquettes were pretty good. The aioli was a bit much and just tasted like glops of mayo, but we scraped most of it off. Toasts were okay at best. The mushroom toast was a salt bomb though. Overall, we thought the food was a little below average.

I really really wanted to like this place, but I can’t think of a reason to go back. Food and atmosphere are pretty bland overall.

The last time I went, they were playing some kind of generic Puerto Rican pop music, and I have no idea why they started doing that.
