Be careful with the mint. It will grow like a weed.

My mom kills everything she tries to grow. So a couple of years ago I told her, "look, here's some mint plants. They're pretty much the easiest thing to grow in the world."

A year later they were all dead. It's a wonder I made it out of that house alive.

At the moment I have cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, egg plant and butter nut squash. Won't be ready for a few months. My folks have 20 chickens so I get all the fresh eggs I want and we will probably get some cattle at some point in the near future. Just need to build a fence.

I have tried a garden and growing in pots and shite won't grow. I water when I should and use plant food, but still no go. I give up.

Herbs: Orange Mint, Chocolate Mint, Rosemary, Thyme, Cilantro, Parsley, Basil

Fruits and Veggies: several types or tomatoes, strawberries, onions, jalapenjo peppers, banana peppers, ornamental peppers, cayenne peppers, red and green bell peppers, eggplant, squash, zucchini, butternut squash, okra

I am sure I probably left something out.

I did leave something out: cucumbers and lettuce

I live in Uptown N.O. with a small backyard. I do have a deck and am considering tomatoes or other stuff in pots. Decent but not all day sun.

Any suggestions?
