Looks good, only been open for a short time.

We'll have to check them out next trip home.

I take it from the menu the place is located on N19th. Which building are they in?

Menu looks appealing.

Looking at the last pic, it looks like the old Monroe Steakhouse place.

That will not end well. Has he ever been chef somewhere that lasted?

He can cook. But,I’ll never predict the lifespan of a restaurant or a chef’s tenure. It’s a good location. Hope they do well.

I used to like the food at that place he had in the ghetto hotel off Louisville back in the day. I’ll have to check this place out.

In other Monroe culinary news, Miro’s, the latest restaurant attempt in the old River and Rail building, is just as shitty as River and Rail was. Damn shame too because that building is the best venue in the city. One of these days somebody who can cook is going to move in there.

Yep. John put out very good food at that old Louisville location. Some may forget he did a stint at Commander’s years ago. He can do good food.

Haven’t tried Miro’s.

Aww Man, that is a really cool spot.

Maybe an cozy wood fired pizza place with at least a couple craft beers and cocktails to choose from would make it there??

Maybe so, but a big part of Miro’s menu is pizza. It’s just not very good pizza. Plus I think Frank’s probably has the cozy wood fired pizza market cornered.

It really is a shame that place can't hold a buisness. When we lived there we used to love going to River and rail for drinks because of the location and view...can't beat it. We moved away and heard river and rail closed, then whatever took it's place closed. We came back to visit Monroe on a whimb and were stoked to find out Miro's was having it's grand opening.... 15 minutes in and we looked at each other and gave that shite show a few months...shame

Looks like any other North Louisiana menu I see up here. I'm sure it's good food but no originality.
