Any Thanksgiving Cooking Fails?

I screws up the oyster dressing by not cooking on the stove first. I added eggs to my dressing and ended up heating, stirring and cooking it longer than expected in the oven, about 2 hours! Still came out good.

My wife made about 40 servings of a new cubed potato cheese dish (there were four of us total). Instead of mashed potatoes. There’s about 38.5 servings in the fridge this morning.
And I may make masked potatoes today…

I made the topping for my sweet potato casserole and the pecan, while bought recently, were rancid.

True but, when oyster dressing is served for dessert it failed to be served with the rest of the meal, lol.
Btw. A gallon of oysters was a $160!

Dropped a sweet potatoe pie my wife was baking. Should have stayed my arse out of the way.

My Deviled eggs sucked. I was doing too much at once and put way too much mustard. That's all I could taste and they were runny.
Luckily, everything else was delicious, and my fiance doesn't eat Deviled eggs so he wasn't bothered by the fact that they went straight to the garbage

Cooked the smallest turkey (9lbs) ever since it was just the two of us this year. In my opinion, it was dry, so my hubs gets to eat all the leftover turkey. He’s ecstatic.
I baked some chicken tonight for me.
Lots of poultry up in here for the next few days!

The pot we use to fry turkeys decided to start leaking very slightly directly onto the burner once the temp got to about 300 degrees. Lots of smoke for a few minutes but no fire thankfully.

I was at my in-laws and wife’s step sister was supposed to handle the Turkey. She insisted on putting it in breast side down so it ended up a soggy mess and left the plastic bag of gizzards in while it was cooking. I found it after it had been cooking for a couple hours and removed it without it busting. It may have been in my head but I had a few pieces that tasted like burnt plastic.
