Is this place any good?
My wife wants to have dinner there, with a few other couples soon.

It's really good. Get whatever seafood option that interests you.

It is good for the area, but also VERY expensive. Just be prepared for that.

Went last night. I can post a photo of the menu...but that’s all the pics I took.

We ordered between 4 of us:

Lobster bisque
Heirloom tomato
Marinated crab claws
Shrimp toast
Deviled crabs
Whole snapper

Bill was 50:50 alcohol to food.

I was not a fan of the deviled crab, but I was the only one making strange faces. Shrimp toast is awesome, the whole fish was incredible. Usually I order the almandine, it’s so damn good. Hamachi crudo is excellent as well. Salads are huge.

It’s a real nice place. One of the diners at our table wished we’d gone to Field’s...

Pretty crazy prices for Bay St. Louis, but the OT already established my only issue is I'm poor.

Thanks for posting, though.

$18 for a wedge of iceberg lettuce.

Last time we ordered A salad they brought one for everyone at the table.

Field’s, next door, is more expensive...but their menu looks 1:1 since the specials aren’t shown. Specials are $45-85.

Went to Field's once and felt like I was robbed.

Had no issue paying $$$ at Thorny Oyster. It's what I would pay at a nicer seafood restaurant in New Orleans and I find the quality of dishes to be on par.

Absolutely. The almandine at Thorny is absolutely on par with the best NOLA restaurants. Nothing at Fields is...though they used to do some incredible soups. $28 soups...but still.
